Ever since the makers of the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, introduced the fourth generation, netizens have often been taking to social media handles to express their disappointment. From the lack of good acting from the leads Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Homnukhe to the rushed plotline, the show which has been a part of national television for over 15 years, is one of the trending topics of discussion on the internet. A few days ago it was heavily reported that the leads who essay the role of Armaan and Ruhi were fired from the show.

As per multiple media reports, Shehzada was asked to leave due to his increasingly unprofessional behaviour with the crew members and throwing tantrums, Pratiksha was fired as she refused to improve her acting skills. In a press release, issued by Rajan Shahi’s Directors Kut Productions, the parallel and male lead of the show were terminated due to their problematic behaviour on the set. In an exclusive interaction with India Forums, a source close to the show informed them that the actors were fired in front of the entire cast and crew of the show.
The source told the entertainment portal, “Some time back, all the actors were asked to assemble and then this announcement was made. The announcement stated that both Shehzada and Pratiksha will not be working with the show anymore and they may leave. Listening to this announcement, while Shehzada Dhami immediately walked off, Pratiksha looked very emotional, and she too walked off in a bit. All the actors and the crew were left shocked.”

Now, according to recent media reports, the makers of the show have already found replacements. As reported by Bollywood Life, Rohit Purohit will be essaying the role of Armaan and Garvita Sadhwani has been roped in to essay the role of Ruhi. Fans have been left with mixed reactions over the new cast announcements as they were deeply attached to Shehzada’s portrayal of Armaan. It will be interesting to see how the new actors will gel well in the upcoming new track of the show. It is to be noted, that the lead actress of the show Samridhii Shukla, who essays the role of Abhira, has refused to react to the news.
